Open Circulation Xandros installation is very simple.
Follow the link on this page
- Download the .iso disk image file and burn a cd using the image file as a source. Do not copy the .iso file to the cd and burn it. Your cd writing software should have a selection something like “create cd from image...”.
- After creating the cd, boot the PC you wish to install Xandros on and enter the BIOS configuration screens. Check that the PC is configured to check the CD or DVD drive for a boot disk before checking the hard drive or RAID array.
- Insert the Xandros CD into the optical drive and boot the PC. Follow the screens and accept the defaults and you should be OK. If the system hangs or the network card does not work and you are using old hardware, you need to select the advanced boot settings to enable or disable APM or ACPI functions as appropriate.
- That’s it, enjoy! If you like the open source version, the commercial version is superior to the Open Version, Contact Us for a quantity discount, or see our SMB Linux desktops with Xandros preinstalled.
